Ingredients

  • 2 ozdark rum(aged rum preferred)
  • 0.5 ozsimple syrup(or demerara syrup for richer flavor)
  • 1whole egg(fresh, high-quality egg)
  • 0.25 ozheavy cream(optional for extra richness)

Garnish: Freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. 1Add rum, syrup, whole egg, and optional cream to a shaker without ice and dry shake hard for about 10 seconds.
  2. 2Add cubed ice and shake again vigorously until well chilled and frothy.
  3. 3Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. 4Finish with freshly grated nutmeg on top.
