A modern classic created by Sam Ross in 2008, the Paper Plane is a perfectly balanced riff on the Last Word. It combines the warmth of bourbon with the bittersweet complexity of Amaro Nonino and Aperol, brightened by fresh lemon juice.

Ingredients

  • 0.75 ozBourbon(High proof preferred)
  • 0.75 ozAmaro Nonino Quintessentia
  • 0.75 ozAperol
  • 0.75 ozFresh Lemon Juice

Garnish: Small paper plane or lemon peel

Instructions

  1. 1Add the bourbon, Amaro Nonino, Aperol, and fresh lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.
  2. 2Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  3. 3Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
