- 2 ozRye whiskey or Bourbon
- 1 ozLemon juice(freshly squeezed)
- 0.75 ozSimple syrup(1:1 ratio)
- 0.5 ozRed wine(Shiraz or Malbec for float)
- 1Egg white(optional, for texture)
Garnish: Lemon wheel or cherry
Instructions
- 1Add the whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and optional egg white into a shaker.
- 2Dry shake (without ice) vigorously if using egg white to emulsify.
- 3Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
- 4Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
