- 0.25 ozSimple Syrup(Or 2 tsp sugar dissolved in a little water)
- 8-10Fresh Mint Leaves(Torn or lightly muddled)

Instructions
- 1Place the mint leaves and simple syrup into a Julep cup or rocks glass.
- 2Gently muddle the mint to release the essential oils without shredding the leaves.
- 3Add the bourbon and fill the glass halfway with crushed ice.
- 4Stir well with a bar spoon until the outside of the glass begins to frost.
- 5Fill the rest of the glass with more crushed ice, creating a rounded mound at the top.
